Mr. Haas has spent more than 30 years leading our software efforts – now at Waivtec, and previously at our former organizations: Meta Materials, Inc., BAE Systems, APTI, and NRL. He is an expert in the architecture and implementation of embedded systems software and he is renowned for his facility with high speed data acquisition and exploitation for realtime remote sensing systems. This skillset was put to good use in diverse projects ranging from realtime hyperspectral systems, day and night-time wide-area imaging sensors, AI-enabled missile seekers, and numerous other efforts. Much of this work involved solving ‘DARPA-hard’ challenges, requiring performance more than a decade ahead of the current state-of-the-art. He leads the software work at Waivtec.

Mr. Haas holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Geneva College.
